Can the Hospitality industry save taxpayers money?

Labour have claimed that long-term youth unemployment is costing taxpayers more than £180m a year, according to new analysis. The article in the Independent also mentions Rachel Reeves, the shadow Work and Pensions Secretary,  who commented that youth unemployment was “a huge waste of [their] talents and potential”.

The article states that nearly 30,000 people aged 24 and under have been on the dole for more than a year but we know that there are jobs out there!

The hospitality Industry offers numerous positions and People 1st, the sector skills organization for the hospitality sector, predict that this area alone will need an additional 848,000 workers by 2020 with 1 in 4 of these being within the pub and bar sector, so let’s try and make the unemployed youth aware of the roles that are available to them!
