Arkell’s Brewery and Swindon College have teamed up to offer the local area training on nationally recognised hospitality qualifications.
The brewery have been running British Institute of Innkeeping courses for some years now and Brewery Director George Arkell, said: “This collaboration with Swindon College will drive up standards within the industry to meet the needs of customers in an increasingly competitive environment.” Arkell’s Academy will run both apprenticeships and NVQs alongside traditional training in bar, kitchen or pub management.
George added: “The most successful landlords are those who have benefitted from good quality training and the Arkell’s Academy, where tradition meets ambition, aims at giving those in the hospitality industry the best possible foundation for a long and successful career.”
