If you haven’t heard, the Publican Awards are an annual awards ceremony that unveils the pub sector’s leading companies and initiatives. Award categories include Best Pub Brand and Concept; Best Community Pub Operator and Best Managed Pub Company.
The Pub and Bar Careers programme has been shortlisted for…drum rolls please… the Best Industry Initiative!
The prestigious award seeks to find the initiative that is being run for the benefit of the pub industry as a whole. The criteria specifies that the award must demonstrate how it has united the pub trade; how the success of the programme is being measured and what the future plans are for the programme in order to develop it further.
We think that our mission to invest in young people and to find the future industry leaders benefits the entire pub sector. It enables us to engage with young people and help get the unemployed into work in an exciting and vibrant industry.
By opening up the pub sector to those who are hungry for qualifications and work experience, we can help to build a brighter future for pubs by inspiring and educating future generations about the diverse pub industry.
Wish us luck for the “intensive and rigorous judging process!” Plans are already underway on how we can demonstrate to the judges why we think we should win this coveted award.
