The hospitality apprenticeship provider HIT Training have teamed up with The Brend Group, a West Country hotel operator to launch a new apprenticeship academy.
The Brend Group currently employs 60 apprentices in a range of hospitality roles from front of house, kitchen, bar and waiting staff across its 11 luxury hotels in Devon and Cornwall.
The new Brend Training Academy will be based at the flagship Saunton Sands hotel in Braunton, North Devon. A range of hospitality apprenticeships will be provided by HIT Training. The group has offered vocational training since 2004, but this new academy will further increase the impact of apprenticeships available.
HIT’s Managing Director, Jill Whittaker said: “The Brend hotel Group initiative is blazing a trail in the South West and we’re very pleased to be working with them. Well trained, competent staff are a valuable asset and can help a business perform well by delivering improved efficiency, better customer service and reduced staff turnover.”
